OUR RECIPE FOR ZESTY ORANGE SHORTBREAD

200g self raising flour

70g wholegrain flour

100g sugar

70g oatflakes

225g butter

Zest of 2 large oranges

Makes 16 pieces

STEP 1

Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4.

STEP 2

Place the flour, sugar and oatflakes in a large bowl and mix well. Taking a few cubes of butter at a time rub into the flour mixture. Keep rubbing until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

STEP 3

Place the mixture in a greased baking tray

STEP 4

Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, allow to cool for 30 minutes before cutting
