OUR RECIPE FOR OATY APPLE CRUMBLE
This is the perfect Winter pudding and is a firm favourite amongst our children!
250g diced Bramley apples
50g plain flour
20g wholegrain flour
50g softened butter
35g sugar
60g oatflakes
Serves 4
STEP 1
Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4.
STEP 2
Place the flour, sugar and oatflakes in a large bowl and mix well. Taking a few cubes of butter at a time rub into the flour mixture. Keep rubbing until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
STEP 3
Place the diced apple in an ovenproof bowl and sprinkle the crumble mixture on top.
STEP 4
Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes until the crumble is browned and the fruit mixture bubbling. Serve with custard.
